WORLD BOOK DAY 2025

World Book Day, celebrated every year on April 23rd, is a global tribute to the magic of books and the joy of reading. This day honors authors, illustrators, and readers alike-encouraging people of all ages to discover the power of storytelling, learning, and imagination.

Whether you're reading a classic novel, a self-help guide, or a children's fairytale, books have the extraordinary ability to inspire, educate, and connect us across cultures and generations. Observed during the vibrant season of summer, World Book Day reminds us that no matter where we are-at school, in college, at the office, or traveling-the journey through pages is always worth taking.

World Book Day encourages more children and families to find the fun and enjoyment in reading, because reading for pleasure changes lives.

LIBRARY RULES

Library Rules

All students and staff of the school are members of the library.
A student can borrow only two books at a time for a period of two weeks.
A staff member can borrow maximum five books at a time for a period of one month.
Books will be issued to the students, during the library periods. No book will be issued or returned during the teaching hours.
Marking, underlining or writing on library books, periodicals, and newspapers is strictly forbidden.
Reference books and current periodicals will not be issued to any member. These can be consulted only in the library.
If the books are not returned within the specified time it will be viewed seriously and fine will be charged as per rules.
The Librarian may call for a book at any time, even if the normal period of loan has not expired.
In case of book is misused, wrongly handled or lost the person concerned will have to replace the book or pay the current market price of the book.
After reading, make sure that the books, periodicals and newspapers are kept back at their respective places.
The members should take good care of library furnishings and equipment. Make sure the library looks as good when you leave as it did when you came in.
Drink and food are not allowed in the Library.
Library computers are for academic purpose only. Do not tamper with the computer settings. Follow the internet safety guidelines.
A ‘No Dues Certificate’ by each student is to be obtained from the Librarian while his/her transfer/withdrawal from the school.
Strict order and silence shall be maintained in the library and speak softly if needed.

PUSTAKOPHAR , 2025-26 (initiative for green environment )

“Think of giving not as a duty, but as a privilege.” The main aim for organizing Pusthakopahaar in KV's is to inculcate the value of sharing and caring our environment and sensitize student about reuse of books for better environment. This initiative also gives strength to the minds who are not able to afford the cost of the new books/ study material to enhance their skills/knowledge or pursue their courses of studies. the main aim is to green the environment by the save of paper .The students ,Parents and teachers of KENDRIYA VIDHYALAYA BIJAPUR donated the previous years books with great zeal and enthusiasm. These books are further given to the needy students so that their learning process does not get affected due to the absence of text books and study materials. Altogether more than 100 students and teacher have donated the books and 95 students got benefited of this pustakophar scheme this year.

8. गुनाहों का देवता – धर्मवीर भारती एक अनोखी प्रेम कहानी जो त्याग और बलिदान के भाव को बहुत खूबसूरती से दर्शाती है। यह युवाओं की सबसे पसंदीदा किताबों में से एक है।
